Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions Linux kernel (affected versions not specified)
Description An issue exists in the drm/nouveau/uvmm component where the dirty flag is not cleared when unwinding an OP UNMAP SPARSE operation. When a subsequent operation in a job fails, the unwind path fails to clear the reg->dirty flag and sets op->reg to NULL, causing the cleanup process to skip the teardown. Consequently, the region remains in the tree with the dirty flag set and its completion is never signaled. This leads to permanent failures for later binds over that range, resulting in -ENOENT or -EINVAL errors from dirty checks, or an unkillable wait for completion() call within the bind validate region() function for the duration of the uvmm.
Recommendations At the moment, there is no information about a newer version that contains a fix for this vulnerability.
