Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions Linux kernel (affected versions not specified)
Description An issue exists in the drm/amdkfd component where the driver allocates device pages even when the migration virtual memory range is a hole on the CPU side (specifically when MIGRATE PFN MIGRATE is set and MIGRATE PFN VALID is unset). In this scenario, there is no DMA map of source pages, causing the svm migrate copy memory gart() function to return an uninitialized variable r. This behavior can trigger out free vram pages to release all recently allocated VRAM.
Recommendations At the moment, there is no information about a newer version that contains a fix for this vulnerability.
