Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions
Linux kernel (affected versions not specified)
Description
A NULL pointer dereference occurs when reading the
/sys/kernel/debug/kfd/mqds endpoint while a process holds an active KFD queue. This happens because the for loop calling the debugfs show mqd() function is located outside the if (pqn->q) block that initializes the mqd mgr variable. When the queue list contains entries where pqn->q is NULL, the initialization block is skipped, leaving mqd mgr uninitialized, which leads to a kernel crash during the loop execution.Recommendations
At the moment, there is no information about a newer version that contains a fix for this vulnerability.
