Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions
Linux kernel (affected versions not specified)
Description
An issue exists in the drm/amd/display component where the per-plane degamma Look-Up Table (LUT) size is not validated before use. The function
set dm plane degamma() passes a user-supplied size directly into is lut linear() and set input tf(), which then calls drm lut to dc gamma(). Because drm lut to dc gamma() always iterates through MAX COLOR LUT ENTRIES regardless of the actual size, a malformed AMD PLANE DEGAMMA LUT blob can cause a divide-by-zero error in is lut linear() or an out-of-bounds read in drm lut to dc gamma(). This issue only affects builds where AMD PRIVATE COLOR is defined.Recommendations
At the moment, there is no information about a newer version that contains a fix for this vulnerability.
