Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions Linux kernel (affected versions not specified)
Description A NULL pointer dereference occurs in the i915 pci probe() function. This happens when pci match device() returns a dummy pci device id any entry during a device force-bind via sysfs driver override, leaving the driver data unset. The function then unconditionally casts this NULL value to struct intel device info * and attempts to dereference intel info->require force probe.
Recommendations At the moment, there is no information about a newer version that contains a fix for this vulnerability.
