Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions Linux kernel (affected versions not specified)
Description An issue exists in the drm/amdgpu component where the amdgpu uvd resume() function unconditionally force-completes the decode ring during the restoration of its fence sequence. This occurs because uvd v7 0 sw init() does not initialize the UVD decode ring for an SR-IOV VF (Single Root I/O Virtualization Virtual Function), which is a mechanism allowing a single physical PCIe device to appear as multiple separate virtual devices.
Recommendations At the moment, there is no information about a newer version that contains a fix for this vulnerability.
