Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions Linux kernel (affected versions not specified)
Description An issue exists in the f2fs file system where the checkpoint merge feature can be enabled even if no checkpoint merge thread is active, such as during a read-only mount. In this state, the ckpt thread ioprio path remains writable via sysfs. When the store path updates the ioprio value and calls the set task ioprio() function, it may dereference a NULL task pointer if cprc->f2fs issue ckpt is NULL.
Recommendations At the moment, there is no information about a newer version that contains a fix for this vulnerability.
