Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions
Linux kernel (affected versions not specified)
Description
An issue exists in the
qla2xxx SCSI driver where the qla nvme xmt ls rsp() function fails to properly check if the firmware has started before calling qla nvme ls reject iocb(). This leads to an unconditional doorbell write to the request queue in-pointer register via qla2x00 start iocbs(), which queues an Input Output Control Block (IOCB) that stopped or resetting firmware cannot process. This results in unauthorized Memory Mapped I/O (MMIO) access during the reset or Error Handling (EEH) window. The same issue affects the reject emission in qla2xxx process purls pkt().Recommendations
At the moment, there is no information about a newer version that contains a fix for this vulnerability.
