Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions
Linux kernel (affected versions not specified)
Description
A memory leak occurs in the intel/ipu6 media component. The
isys notifier init() function initializes a notifier using v4l2 async nf init() and subsequently adds remote sub-devices via v4l2 async nf add fwnode remote() within a loop. If a failure occurs during the parsing or adding of an endpoint, the process jumps to err parse and returns without executing v4l2 async nf cleanup(). This results in a leak of all v4l2 async connection objects previously added to the notifier's waiting list.Recommendations
At the moment, there is no information about a newer version that contains a fix for this vulnerability.
