Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions Linux kernel (affected versions not specified)
Description An issue in the KVM s390 component allows memory corruption due to the reinjection of CK machine checks. Channel-subsystem damage machine checks are intended for the host channel subsystem, while the guest channel subsystem is emulated in the userspace VMM, making the forwarding of these checks into the guest unnecessary. This flaw can lead to the kfree() of a stack variable within the s390 backup mcck info() function.
Recommendations At the moment, there is no information about a newer version that contains a fix for this vulnerability.
