Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions
Linux kernel (affected versions not specified)
Description
An issue exists in the KVM s390 architecture where the
import wp info() function fails to hold the kvm->srcu or kvm->slots lock when calling read guest abs(). Because read guest abs() utilizes kvm read guest() to resolve the memslot via kvm memslots(), the absence of these locks allows a concurrent memslot update to free the memslots array after its SRCU (Sleepable Read Copy Update) grace period expires, potentially leading to a system crash or memory corruption.Recommendations
At the moment, there is no information about a newer version that contains a fix for this vulnerability.
