Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions Linux kernel (affected versions not specified)
Description An issue exists in the KVM nVMX component where the KVM REQ GET NESTED STATE PAGES flag is not consistently cleared during a nested VM-Exit emulation. This occurs even when KVM is built with CONFIG KVM HYPERV=n. The system relies on this check to clear the flag to prevent the double-mapping of vmcs12 pages, which can happen if KVM exits VM-Enter without processing the request and subsequently emulates VMLAUNCH or VMRESUME functions.
Recommendations At the moment, there is no information about a newer version that contains a fix for this vulnerability.
