Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions Linux kernel (affected versions not specified)
Description An issue exists in the m62332 set value() function where the Vcc regulator is enabled on every write of a non-zero value and disabled on every write of zero without tracking the current state of the channel. Since the regulator uses reference counting, transitioning directly between two non-zero values causes multiple enable actions, while a subsequent write of zero only triggers a single disable action. This prevents the reference count from returning to zero, leaving the regulator enabled indefinitely.
Recommendations At the moment, there is no information about a newer version that contains a fix for this vulnerability.
