Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions Linux kernel (affected versions not specified)
Description A NULL pointer dereference exists in the vfio ap device driver for s390. The issue occurs within the call stack of the vfio ap on cfg changed() and vfio ap on scan complete() functions, where the matrix mdev->kvm->lock mutex is accessed without verifying if matrix mdev->kvm is NULL. If matrix mdev->kvm has not been set, attempting to acquire this lock triggers a system crash.
Recommendations At the moment, there is no information about a newer version that contains a fix for this vulnerability.
