Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions Linux kernel (affected versions not specified)
Description An issue exists in the accel/ethosu component where the ethosu probe() function fails to properly handle errors returned by devm platform ioremap resource(). When a register resource cannot be mapped, the function stores the resulting error pointer and continues the initialization process. This leads to a failure when the system later attempts to dereference that pointer through Memory-Mapped I/O (MMIO) accessors. MMIO is a method used by the CPU to access hardware devices by mapping device registers into the system memory address space.
Recommendations At the moment, there is no information about a newer version that contains a fix for this vulnerability.
