Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions
Linux kernel (affected versions not specified)
Description
A memory leak occurs in the i2c mux component. The
i2c mux add adapter() function acquires a reference to the Device Tree channel node prior to registering a new adapter. If the registration process fails, the error handling path releases the private data but fails to drop the reference to the channel node, leading to a resource leak.Recommendations
At the moment, there is no information about a newer version that contains a fix for this vulnerability.
