Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions
Linux kernel (affected versions not specified)
Description
A NULL pointer dereference occurs in the
dw-edma component of the DMA engine. The function dw edma irq request() passes the dw edma irq structure to request irq() before the dw edma channel setup() function populates the back pointer. Consequently, a shared interrupt may trigger the handler while the dw irq->dw variable is still NULL.Recommendations
Set the back pointer before installing each handler.
At the moment, there is no information about a newer version that contains a fix for this vulnerability.
