Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions
Linux kernel (affected versions not specified)
Description
DAMON sample modules do not correctly handle failures from the
damon start() function. Specifically, the damon sample wsse start() function fails to clean up resources when damon start() fails, leading to memory leaks of the DAMON context. Additionally, the mtier module has issues handling damon stop() failures, while wsse and prcl have problems handling damon call() failures. These flaws can result in memory leaks, disruptions to subsequent DAMON operations, and use-after-free conditions. Exploiting these issues requires administrative permissions.Recommendations
At the moment, there is no information about a newer version that contains a fix for this vulnerability.
