Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions
Linux kernel (affected versions not specified)
Description
An issue exists in the
pm8001 request msix() function where the rollback loop uses an incorrect index when freeing MSI-X vectors after a request irq() failure. Specifically, the loop utilizes the failing index i for every iteration instead of the registered vector index j, resulting in the wrong IRQ/dev id pair being passed to free irq() and leaving previous handlers installed.Recommendations
At the moment, there is no information about a newer version that contains a fix for this vulnerability.
