Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions Linux kernel (affected versions not specified)
Description An issue exists in the scsi bsg component where the completion process copies scmd->sense len to the user response buffer without respecting the max response len limit. Following a valid sense, the midlayer updates sense len to the actual length, which can be up to SCSI SENSE BUFFERSIZE, potentially leading to a buffer overrun if the user buffer is smaller.
Recommendations At the moment, there is no information about a newer version that contains a fix for this vulnerability.
