Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions Linux kernel (affected versions not specified)
Description A NULL pointer dereference exists in the gadget dev ioctl() function. The issue occurs because the function reads dev->gadget before acquiring dev->lock, while the dev->state is checked only after the lock is acquired. A concurrent bind operation can change the device state between these two steps, resulting in a stale NULL gadget pointer and causing a crash at gadget->ops->ioctl.
Recommendations At the moment, there is no information about a newer version that contains a fix for this vulnerability.
