Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions Linux kernel (affected versions not specified)
Description A null pointer dereference exists in the fsg common set num buffers() function within the usb gadget mass storage module. This occurs when the kstrtou8() function returns a value of 0 or 1 for the variable n, bypassing Kconfig restrictions that expect a range between 2 and 256. If n is 0, the system attempts to access a null pointer, leading to a crash.
Recommendations At the moment, there is no information about a newer version that contains a fix for this vulnerability.
