Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions Linux kernel (affected versions not specified)
Description An issue exists in the hd3ss3220 USB Type-C driver where the regulator is enabled() function reports the aggregate state of the regulator rather than whether the specific consumer holds an enable reference. If another consumer enables VBUS first, the driver may skip its own regulator enable() call. Subsequently, attempting to drop a reference that was never acquired triggers an unbalanced regulator disable warning.
Recommendations At the moment, there is no information about a newer version that contains a fix for this vulnerability.
