Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions Linux kernel (affected versions not specified)
Description An issue exists in the memory management subsystem where the use of spin trylock() within a Non-Maskable Interrupt (NMI) on Uniprocessor (UP) systems is unsafe. This occurs specifically during the freeing of pages. If BPF programs utilizing these features in NMI are present on non-SMP builds, it may lead to a kernel crash and could potentially be exploited by local attackers to achieve privilege escalation.
Recommendations At the moment, there is no information about a newer version that contains a fix for this vulnerability.
