Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions Cisco ISE (affected versions not specified) Cisco ISE-PIC (affected versions not specified)
Description An issue in the web-based management interface allows an authenticated remote attacker with administrative privileges to write arbitrary files to the system. This occurs because the software fails to properly validate directory traversal character sequences—sequences used to access files and directories outside the intended folder—within a user-supplied file path during the upload process. An attacker can exploit this by uploading a specially crafted file to write data to any location on the device.
Recommendations At the moment, there is no information about a newer version that contains a fix for this vulnerability.
