Description
The software renders document titles as HTML in the backlink dock tree without escaping markup characters. This allows attackers to set malicious titles via the rename API or crafted notebooks to execute scripts in the Electron renderer. Because the renderer has access to
child process, this can lead to remote command execution.Recommendations
Update to version 3.8.4 or later.
