Description
An issue exists in the net: fec component where the
fec ptp stop() function is called unconditionally during device removal in fec drv remove() and on the failed initialization path in fec probe(). This occurs even if PTP (Precision Time Protocol, a protocol used to synchronize clocks across a network) was not initialized, as fec ptp init() is only executed when fep->bufdesc ex is available.Recommendations
At the moment, there is no information about a newer version that contains a fix for this vulnerability.
