Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions Linux kernel (affected versions not specified)
Description An issue exists in the sparx5 driver where the sparx5 set rx mode() function operates while holding the netif addr lock bh lock. During this process, it calls sparx5 mc sync() or sparx5 mc unsync(), which subsequently trigger sparx5 mact learn() or sparx5 mact forget(). These functions attempt to acquire a mutex via sparx5->lock and poll the MAC access command register using readx poll timeout(). Because a mutex can block, calling it from an atomic context is prohibited and can lead to a system crash.
Recommendations At the moment, there is no information about a newer version that contains a fix for this vulnerability.
