Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions
Linux kernel (affected versions not specified)
Description
An issue exists in the
gic acpi parse iaffid() function where a MADT GICC entry may not correspond to a logical CPU recognized by the kernel. This causes the cpu variable to be initialized with an error value. Because the return value of the get logical index() function is not checked for failure, it can lead to out-of-bounds memory corruption when attempting to index a per cpu variable array.Recommendations
At the moment, there is no information about a newer version that contains a fix for this vulnerability.
