Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions
Linux kernel (affected versions not specified)
Description
An issue exists in the bpf and xdp components where
bpf xdp link update() calls dev xdp install() directly, bypassing the checks performed in dev xdp attach(). This allows a user to create an XDP link with a standard program and subsequently use BPF LINK UPDATE to swap it for an offloaded or device-bound program, incorrectly placing it on the software path. XDP (eXpress Data Path) is a programmable hook in the Linux kernel that allows for high-performance packet processing.Recommendations
At the moment, there is no information about a newer version that contains a fix for this vulnerability.
