Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions Linux kernel (affected versions not specified)
Description An issue exists in the ksmbd module where deferred CHANGE NOTIFY work retains an async message ID after the original request work is released. Because a durable handle can outlive its connection, the connection teardown process may destroy the async IDA (Integer ID Allocator) before the handle close releases the pending notify work.
Recommendations At the moment, there is no information about a newer version that contains a fix for this vulnerability.
