Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions
Linux kernel (affected versions not specified)
Description
An issue exists in the ksmbd module where preauthentication sessions are not properly freed during connection teardown. In SMB3.1.1 multichannel binding, a
preauth session object is allocated to preserve the preauthentication hash between NTLM negotiate and authenticate requests. If a client disconnects before sending the authenticate request, the system fails to release this object through the authenticate or error cleanup paths, leading to a memory leak.Recommendations
At the moment, there is no information about a newer version that contains a fix for this vulnerability.
