Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions Linux kernel (affected versions not specified)
Description On RV64, the Application Binary Interface (ABI) requires sign-extension for signed 1-byte and 2-byte kfunc arguments. The RV64 Just-In-Time (JIT) compiler fails to perform this sign-extension. This issue was previously masked by state pruning that could omit zero-extension of 32-bit subregisters, but it became apparent after changes to how zext dst is inferred based on static register liveness analysis, leading to failures in the kfunc call/kfunc call test4 selftest.
Recommendations At the moment, there is no information about a newer version that contains a fix for this vulnerability.
