Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions Linux kernel (affected versions not specified)
Description A deadlock can occur when unregistering an s390dbf debug area while an associated debugfs file is being written to. This happens because the debug unregister() function attempts to acquire the debug mutex while the debug file ops.write() function, via debug input(), also attempts to lock the same debug mutex, creating a circular dependency.
Recommendations At the moment, there is no information about a newer version that contains a fix for this vulnerability.
