Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions
Linux kernel (affected versions not specified)
Description
A memory leak occurs in the nvme-pci component when a probe failure happens after the admin tag set is allocated. The per-NUMA-node descriptor DMA pools, which are created lazily via the
nvme init hctx common() function, are not released during the error path involving the out disable label and the nvme pci free ctrl() function. This results in the leaking of dma pool objects, as these pools are typically only destroyed during the nvme remove() process via nvme release descriptor pools().Recommendations
At the moment, there is no information about a newer version that contains a fix for this vulnerability.
