Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions
Linux kernel (affected versions not specified)
Description
An issue exists in the
net/sched: cls api component where a race condition occurs during the insertion of a protocol. In the tc new tfilter() function, if a request loses a race to insert a protocol at the same chain and priority, the system incorrectly handles the teardown process. Specifically, the error path treats a live protocol belonging to another request as its own and calls the tcf chain tp delete empty() function. This results in the silent unlinking of an active classifier that has already been advertised via RTM NEWTFILTER.Recommendations
At the moment, there is no information about a newer version that contains a fix for this vulnerability.
