Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions
Linux kernel (affected versions not specified)
Description
In zoned file systems, the
btrfs delayed refs rsv refill() function returns -EAGAIN when the sum of over-committed metadata and zone unusable bytes exceeds the usable size in a metadata block-group. This mechanism is intended to prevent excessive metadata over-commitment and premature ENOSPC (Error No Space) within a single transaction. However, if this occurs during a reclaim process, the transaction is aborted, which can force the file system into read-only mode.Recommendations
At the moment, there is no information about a newer version that contains a fix for this vulnerability.
