Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions
Linux kernel (affected versions not specified)
Description
A memory leak occurs in the SCSI subsystem when
scsi alloc sgtables() fails. The function sd set special bvec() allocates a special payload page for UNMAP and WRITE SAME commands. If a subsequent failure occurs within sd setup unmap cmnd() or sd setup write same{10,16} cmnd(), the SCSI midlayer fails to call uninit command() because the RQF DONTPREP flag is not yet set, resulting in a leak of the allocated page.Recommendations
At the moment, there is no information about a newer version that contains a fix for this vulnerability.
