Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions
Linux kernel (affected versions not specified)
Description
An issue exists in the md/raid1 component where the
raid1 takeover() function incorrectly sets the array frozen variable to 1 on a newly allocated r1conf. Because this value is never cleared, all I/O operations to the array stall permanently when the wait barrier() function detects that the variable remains at 1. This behavior was introduced after a change in mddev suspend() removed a call to raid1 quiesce(), which previously reset the array frozen state.Recommendations
At the moment, there is no information about a newer version that contains a fix for this vulnerability.
