Description
An issue exists in the HID steam driver where Steam Controller FEATURE reports encode the message size within the message itself. The system previously trusted that the reported size matched the actual size read, which could lead to short reads (a condition where the number of bytes read is less than the number of bytes requested). To prevent this, the length of the read must be verified.
