Linux kernel (affected versions not specified)
Description
An issue exists in the
logitech-hidpp driver where the hidpp ff init() function fails to properly clean up resources during an initialization failure. Specifically, if allocations for the HID++ FF private data, effect ID array, or workqueue fail after the input force-feedback device has been created via input ff create(), the function returns an error without destroying the created device, leading to a resource leak.Recommendations
At the moment, there is no information about a newer version that contains a fix for this vulnerability.
