Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions Linux kernel (affected versions not specified)
Description A NULL-pointer dereference occurs during TTY device removal. This happens when TTY device registration fails before a cdev is allocated, but the serial core retains the port for use by setserial. Subsequently, the removal process passes a NULL cdev slot to the cdev del() function, leading to the crash.
Recommendations At the moment, there is no information about a newer version that contains a fix for this vulnerability.
