Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions
Linux kernel (affected versions not specified)
Description
A memory leak occurs in the pinctrl generic subsystem when the
pinctrl generic to map() function fails. The function parses Device Tree (DT) configuration and allocates pinctrl maps using pinctrl utils reserve map(). If subsequent operations—specifically pinctrl utils add map mux(), pinctrl generic add group(), pinconf generic parse dt config(), or pinctrl utils add map configs()—return an error, the allocated map entries are not freed, leading to a memory leak across all drivers utilizing pinctrl generic to map().Recommendations
At the moment, there is no information about a newer version that contains a fix for this vulnerability.
