Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions
Linux kernel (affected versions not specified)
Description
An issue exists in the
brcmfmac wifi driver regarding the handling of P2P action frames. Certain code paths incorrectly assume that the P2P device vif (virtual interface) is always available. This assumption fails when userspace sends non-P2P public action frames via the primary interface or when an action-frame abort occurs before the P2P device vif is created. The flaw involves improper access to the P2P device saved IE (Information Element) during peer channel searches.Recommendations
At the moment, there is no information about a newer version that contains a fix for this vulnerability.
