Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions
Linux kernel (affected versions not specified)
Description
An issue exists in the arm64 architecture during syscall entry tracing. A tracer can manipulate the first syscall argument, which may allow it to bypass seccomp or audit checking. This occurs because the
orig x0 variable is not properly synchronized with the x0 register when a tracer updates x0 during a seccomp ptrace exit (SECCOMP RET TRACE) before the seccomp filter is re-evaluated.Recommendations
At the moment, there is no information about a newer version that contains a fix for this vulnerability.
