Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions
Linux kernel (affected versions not specified)
Description
A reference leak occurs in the mt7915 wifi driver when a probe IRQ failure happens. The hif2 reference obtained by the
mt7915 pci init hif2() function is only released on error paths that depend on dev->hif2, but this variable is not assigned until after the IRQ setup. Consequently, if pci alloc irq vectors() or the primary devm request irq() function fails, the reference is not released.Recommendations
At the moment, there is no information about a newer version that contains a fix for this vulnerability.
