Linux kernel (affected versions not specified)
Description
An issue exists in the
acpi processor driver init() function where the cpufreq policy notifier is registered before the ACPI processor driver and CPU hotplug state are established. If driver register() or cpuhp setup state() fails, the error handling path fails to unregister the cpufreq notifier, leaving it registered despite the initialization failure.Recommendations
At the moment, there is no information about a newer version that contains a fix for this vulnerability.
