Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions Linux kernel (affected versions not specified)
Description An out-of-bounds access issue exists in the mt76 wifi driver. The functions mt76 mmio write copy() and mt76 mmio read copy() iterate up to an aligned length of four bytes. When the length is not a multiple of four, the process reads past the source buffer during a write operation or writes past the destination buffer during a read operation. This occurs during Memory-Mapped I/O (MMIO), a method for the CPU to access hardware registers as if they were memory locations.
Recommendations At the moment, there is no information about a newer version that contains a fix for this vulnerability.
