Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions
Linux kernel (affected versions not specified)
Description
An issue exists in the
mt76 wifi driver where the mt76 tx queue skb() function overrides the wireless client identifier (wcid) passed by the driver. This causes the non aql packets counter to be updated on the incorrect wcid during transmission. For instance, if a station uses a 2G link to transmit a frame while its setup link is 5G, the counter increases for the 5G wcid and decreases for the 2G wcid. When the inflated counter exceeds the MT MAX NON AQL PKT threshold, the TX scheduler permanently stops servicing the station.Recommendations
At the moment, there is no information about a newer version that contains a fix for this vulnerability.
