Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions
Linux kernel (affected versions not specified)
Description
The GRU TLB miss handler performs page-table walks for a process without holding page-table locks or maintaining a reference to the mapped page. Additionally, it employs a kernel page-table accessor on user page tables and only supports PMD-level large mappings on x86-64 architectures. TLB (Translation Lookaside Buffer) is a hardware cache used by the memory management unit to reduce the time taken to access a user memory location.
Recommendations
At the moment, there is no information about a newer version that contains a fix for this vulnerability.
